We’re getting married!

Mollie and I agreed a spontaneous weekend getaway would be fun. We had not planned exactly where to go, but while she was at work one night I thought this could be the perfect time to give her the ring I had been hiding in a shoebox in our closet. I got to planning and decided Newport was the place. Hard to believe I convinced her to ride blindfolded 1.5 hours from Quincy to the Newport cliff walks. It was December; there wasnt much snow so I figured the cliff walk would be a great place to pop the question. It was December after all and even though it is a summer hot spot I figured we would have some privacy. Turns out December 29, 2018 was roughly 65 degrees and everyone and their mother was on the cliff walks. If you’ve ever been you know for the most part it is two lanes walking past eachother, and on this day it was steady foot traffic on both sides. We walked a significant amount of distance while I internally panicked about where I could ask her without stopping traffic. We got to a place on some rocks where Mollie asked some strangers to take a picture of us. We made small talk with them, went on our own way, and walked almost all the way back to the car. I finally found a place that would work. Just as I thought about taking the ring out, Mollie turned and faced the water. I saw the man whom had just taken our picture, Yuval was his name, walking with his camera towards us on the path. Sneakily I pulled the ring out and waved it at him luckily gaining his attention. She turned around, I showered her with lovey dovey praise that would make Cupid himself blush, and then I asked. The rest is history and we were lucky enough to have those spontaneous pictures sent to us!
