Mollie and PJ first met on a typical night for both, neither wanting to go out and hit the town. But, thanks to a dash of peer pressure, they ended up at a mutual friend's house. Mollie walked in and immediately wanted to know who was in charge of the music. Luckily for PJ, he was the DJ and she was a fan. The conversation flowed easily from there and PJ quickly decided he needed to borrow a "going out" shirt from his friend; after all, he couldn't just go home after meeting a girl who loved Kanye's new song "Reborn" as much as he did (insert Kid Cudi humming here). All jokes aside, they had both been through tough times. They were trying to figure out their place in the world, and PJ had recently lost his best friend and brother. Throughout the weeks and endless talks on Mollie's balcony that followed, they could lean on each other in a way neither of them had experienced before. Even PJ's mom knew something was up when he agreed to look after Mollie's cat for 10 days while she visited family in Monterrey. Little did Mollie know, he was allergic to cats; but somehow, Zoe ended up being an exception. Their life together became an unexpected whirlwind with a new city, law school, new jobs, a puppy...not to mention, a global pandemic. If there was ever any doubt whether they were meant for each other, happily sharing a one-bedroom apartment while both working from home sure proved it! They were fortunate to share some wonderful moments as well: birthdays, births, weddings, adventures everywhere from Tahoe to Big Bend to Switzerland. Not to mention, they got to spend their first Christmas together in Sewanee, TN, a place very special to Mollie and her family. The quaint college town's charm and outdoor appeal was not lost on PJ, making it an obvious destination for their wedding.
