Travel Note

Getting to Elmhurst, Illinois

Elmhurst is a suburb of Chicago and where Mollie grew up. The O'Shea house is in walking distance to the train station, bars/restaurants, and the chapel. If you are commuting to the ceremony from Chicago, here are the estimated travel times to plan your trip.... - 30 mins by Metra Train (commuter rail line, more info below) - 1 hour driving (rush hour) - 30 mins driving (late night) Ubers and taxis are very easy to request at any time of day/night, especially since Elmhurst is near O'Hare airport. If you prefer staying in Chicago and taking an Uber to and from the wedding, that is totally doable! Plus you get to see all the city has to offer:)

Train

Metra Union Pacific WEST LINE

Elmhurst is a 32 minute train ride away from downtown Chicago. On Saturday, there is 2:40 PM train that leaves OLGILVIE STATION (OTC) arriving ELMHURST at 3:12 PM. This is known as the Union Pacific - WEST LINE (UP-W) Drinks are allowed and costs about $6 per ticket. :)

Flight

O'Hare Airport

We recommend flying into O'Hare as it's closer to Elmhurst, however, both airports (Midway and O'Hare) are equidistant to Downtown Chicago.
