If you are staying within the Walled City, everything is walking distance! We encourage you to walk and explore the city. However, if you prefer the comfort of a car ride, then we suggest using Uber. Make sure to download the UBER app and link it to a credit card with no foreign transaction fees prior to travel. - Si te alojas dentro de la Ciudad Amurallada, ¡todo está a poca distancia a pie! Te animamos a caminar y explorar la ciudad. Sin embargo, si prefiere la comodidad de un viaje en automóvil, le sugerimos usar Uber. Short answer is, yes! Cartagena is one of the most visited and safest city in all of Colombia. Like any international tourist destination, "no des papaya" - meaning don't make yourself an easy target for pickpocketing. - La respuesta corta es, ¡sí! DO I NEED A PASSPORT? - NECESITO PASAPORTE?

To enter Colombia, your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after your travel dates. For example, since you are traveling to Colombia in May 2025, your passport must be valid through November 2025. American citizens do not need a Visa to visit Colombia. For other citizenships, please check online. - Para ingresar a Colombia, su pasaporte debe tener una vigencia mínima de 6 meses posteriores a las fechas de su viaje. Por ejemplo, dado que viajará a Colombia en Mayo de 2025, su pasaporte debe ser válido hasta Noviembre de 2025. Los ciudadanos estadounidenses no necesitan visa para visitar Colombia.
