As of right now, the state of Hawaii has not completely reopened for travel from the mainland. After a mandatory 14-day quarantine in place until July 31st, they are allowing a negative COVID test for travelers to enter the state to bypass the quarantine starting on August 1st. In the past couple of weeks, we realize the virus has reached new heights with cases on the rise, and we honestly aren’t quite sure what this means currently for our wedding. With the restrictions in place to travel to Hawaii, we also aren’t sure at this time what that means for travel by the end of September. We’ve been in communication with our wedding planner Lori, and at this moment we are not planning to cancel our wedding just yet. With another 2 months’ time, we are cautiously optimistic we will still be able to have our wedding in Maui, even it might have to be slightly different than originally planned.
We are getting married at the Olowalu Plantation House just south of Lahaina, an all outdoor venue by the ocean where both our ceremony and reception will be held.
