Is it an adults only reception?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, aside from the little ones in the wedding crew, this is an adults only affair. We encourage all wedding guests, including parents, to have a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry. Enjoy your weekend getaway, Moms and Dads!!

Is the wedding outdoors?

Answer

Ceremony and Cocktail hour are both outdoors. The reception is inside with a large part of the venue being open to the outdoors.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black Tie Optional. See Wedding Events for more details! Please, no sneakers, jeans, t-shirts, or flip-flops. Glam up!

What is the parking situation like?

Answer

Though the venues property is large, the parking availability is limited. There will be a shuttle, aka the MelanD Express, picking and dropping our guests off from the Best Western River Escape Hotel. If you are not staying at the Best Western, you are welcome to park your car there and hop on the shuttle. We encourage everyone to hop on the MelanD Express BUT if you will be drinking, we STRONGLY encourage and ask that you do not drive. The roads are windy and some steep with drop offs ; we want everyone to make it home safely!

Do we need to rent a car?

Answer

It is encouraged that you rent a car if you would like to explore the towns of Sylva and Dillsboro while you are here! Once in town you can park and walk around. We were told from the locals that Uber is not as reliable in their small town. The Asheville, NC airport is 45 minutes from town. If you do not rent a car please be sure to arrange airport transportation and reach out to Melanie or Dustin to find a carpool to Friday nights Welcome Party!

What if there is no more hotel blocks available?

Answer

Unfortunately, we were only allotted a certain number of reserved hotel blocks. However, you can still book rooms at Best Western River Escape without our blocks. We encourage reserving your hotel sooner than later to avoid pricing spikes! ***When checking out, under special instructions, please note that you are with the Moisao Smith Wedding.***
