Her side: Nick and I have attended the same church since I moved to Southern California in May of 2019. He was always serving in the front-end of church- hosting and admin, and I was always serving on the opposite end with creative. I'd been looking for love in all the wrong places for about two years and had neglected the idea of Nick or any other church guy my friends had pitched. When I finally came to my end and was just looking for community again, a friend of ours pushed me in Nick's direction. He was sweet but 'younger than me' amongst other things I thought ruled 'us' out; but the more time we spent together, the more I realised I enjoyed his presence and really enjoyed him. It was Nick who made the bold first move and it's been an easy 'yes' to doing life with him ever since. He’s everything I didn’t realise I needed. I am surprised by God's kindness towards me through Nick, daily. *swoon* His side: It started with a couple of glimpses. A few conversations in passing over the course of two years going to the same church. I guess there are a few people to give credit in sparking our story. On Wednesdays I would have dinner with a mutual friend that just so happened to have my back. He invited Alex one night and the rest is history. A few hangouts later and I knew that there was something special I needed to pursue. It only took 4 tries but eventually she followed me back on instagram... Once we passed that massive hurdle we spent the next few months going on dates. Each time I spoke to anyone about Alex I was reaffirmed she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. She's caring, loving, and a person that so many come to when they need encouragement. I saw that from a far for 2 years and I'm so glad that I get to see it up close now and forever.
