Franklin Cider Mill
This is where we went for our first date. Needless to say, we had a great time! We come back every year on September 22nd for our first date anniversary to enjoy cider and donuts while sitting by the river watching the ducks swim by!
Detroit Institute of Arts
Tyler surprised Jessi with tickets to the traveling Van Gogh Exhibit! He is Jess's favorite Artist / Painter. The exhibit is no longer at the DIA, but museum is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon while experiencing remarkable art.
Old Detroit Burger Bar
We love coming here on Tuesday's for their Burger deals! But their burgers will not disappoint no matter the day. Both of us always order "The Marty McFly" with sweet potato fries and an ice cold beer! Trust Us.
Detroit Zoo
The zoo is where we love taking Harper! It is a great family adventure. If you have not yet seen the new Penguin House we highly recommend checking it out.
Little Lou's Hot Chicken
Since taking a trip down to Nashville, TN we have been on the hunt for the best hot chicken resembling the Nashville Hot Chicken we had down in Tennessee. While taking Harper to swim classes we noticed Little Lou's across the street. To our surprise two guys from Nashville, TN moved to Michigan to make hot chicken. It's damn good hot chicken!
Yates Cider Mill
Yates Cider Mill is another one of our favorite Cider Mills to visit in the fall! Yates has the best cinnamon sugar donuts, a petting zoo for the kids, and a beautiful walking path through the colorful trees!
Noorjahan Indian Cuisine (Royal Oak)
This is one of our favorite Indian Food restaurants and when the craving hits this is where we like to order take out! We recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, or Chicken Vindaloo, with Veggie Samosas, and warm naan bread!
Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation
You cannot go wrong spending an afternoon at the Henry Ford Museum! If you have never been please consider checking this museum out.
Yard House
If you know us, you know we love a good deal! We love coming here during the week during happy hour to enjoy a good beer accompanied by their chicken nachos and the poke nachos. Sounds odd but trust us, we would not steer you wrong!
Dog and Pony Show Brewing
This is one of our favorite breweries to go to as they are kid friendly! They have great beer and a food truck parked outside.
