Mickey, a phenomenally emotionally invested artist-human (“she’s a Cancer”) who was raised in a forest on Star Trek, Studio Ghibli, and Love. I bloom in the form of community-based and planet-centered painting, murals, and illustration, and I feed on science fiction, storytelling, and excuses for empathy. Hello! I’m Joey Stromboli, the groom! I’m a Medical Device Research & Development Engineer who loves singing, D&D, Magic the Gathering, volleyball, Pokemon, anime, working out, etc. I met my best friend and the love of my life almost 9 years ago, and I am still shocked that I get to spend the rest of my life with someone as incredible and chewy as Mickey. I am incredibly grateful for all the love that my siblings and friends have always provided and I thank you all for wanting to celebrate us and our special story!

I’ve had the honor of knowing the groom since he first came home from the hospital in February of 1999. Having watched him grow from an adorable cherub to a strong (physically & emotionally) young man has been one of the great gifts of my life. I could not be more proud of the person that he has grown into. He is motivated, passionate and kind. I am blessed to be able to call him my brother and friend. I’ve had the honor of knowing the bride since 2016, and in this time have watched her grow into a confident, creative and loving artist. The lens through which she sees the world is one of compassion and conviction and the world is all the better for having her in it. As a father to be, I have been looking towards those that I love to better understand the kind of world that my daughter will be coming into. Joey and Mickey being a significant piece as Aunt and Uncle gives me the utmost confidence that she will be surrounded by love and support. I can’t wait to celebrate Joey and Mickey the individuals and also the beautiful and growing love that they share.

I am Mickey's older cousin and am so excited to be a bridesmaid and support Mickey and Joey! I LOVE travel, food, many sporty things, art music and more; I am based in NYC. I am beginning grad school to work as a therapist and am a queer organizer with many passions including tattoos, clearly. I have 4 younger sisters and an amazing larger family 😇 I have loved seeing Mickey blossom as of late, from pursuing her art to much more, and can't wait to hear about the couples' upcoming trip to the Philippines. Joey and I are the closest in age of all our siblings, and we have a very wonderful bond. I am so happy to see him marry the love of his life, Mickey! Mickey and I have known each other since high school, and I have grown alongside her, watching and supporting each other’s accomplishments. I am so happy to have her in my life!

Hi, my name is Joseph Lozada. I’ve been the younger brother of Mickey since 2009. I met Joey when he came over for a date, and I remember being quite interested in who he was. Since then we’ve grown very close and have played Monster Hunter Wilds, web fishing, etc., and have had many fun times together. I look back fondly on all the trips taken and visits that I've had with Mickey and Joey. They have taught me a lot about the unspoken rules about driving, selecting special colors that go perfectly well together, and more. I am very happy to be able to celebrate Mickey and Joey's special day and to have finally gotten the brother I always wanted.

Joey drove to our very long driveway in late December 2016. All he could see was a narrow strip of stones into the woods. It makes sense that Joey would nickname us The Tree People. Our independent daughter had walked 500 feet down the driveway to meet him in person for the first time. We, The Tree People, followed behind to catch a glimpse of this first date. So began for us, The Tree People, our relationship with Joey. Joey was an immediate hit with us, especially with our son and dogs. Jojo and Annabelle saw Joey’s visits as playdates for them. Little could I have realized Phil and I were gaining another son, and Jojo another brother. This relationship has always been, without a doubt, a journey on a figurative ocean. They have hit storms and emerged together. I hope that we, The Tree People, will always be there to provide them safe harbor.

Hello, I am Michaela's Father. Karen and I are delighted about Michaela and Joey’s wedding. About 9 years ago, we watched a beautiful relationship begin as Joey and Michaela went out for their first date. They visited a planetarium and watched Star Wars: Rogue One. At the time, Joey was an aspiring astrophysicist and Michaela was a fan of science fiction. Nine years later, their relationship has grown closer. They share a love of cooking, singing, volleyball, and art. One of the meals I remember fondly was a special 23rd Anniversary Dinner that Michaela and Joey cooked. It was a fun and delicious meal. Karen and I believe that Michaela and Joey will continue cooking great meals and sharing a wonderful future together!

I became friends with pre-Michaela Joey in middle school and became friends with pre-Joey Michaela in high school. Through thick and thin, board games and swim, they've been there, and for most of that time, they've been together. Finally it's time for Moey to be legally recognized by the state of New Jersey, but not before they were recognized in our hearts. I feel incredibly lucky to have both of these amazing people in my life and to celebrate their marriage!

Hi, I’m AJ, the eccentric elder of our group of friends by two years. I met Joey through his wonderful sister Chelsea at a Doctor Who 50th anniversary library event as he was making a Perler bead TARDIS. We’ve been brothers ever since, from parties in my basement and vicious games of Disney Scene-It, to just college visits and duct taping him up for peeking at his birthday present early. Through Joey I also met the wonderful collection of humans I consider my closest friends, and I couldn’t be happier to be able to celebrate Mickey and Joey’s special day with them all!
