we're so glad you're here

We became friends in 8th grade. I should’ve jumped at the chance then, but I guess everything happens for a reason! In 10th grade we had our first date at Dunn Brothers after one of my soccer games. Throughout high school, you could find us cheering each other on at hockey games, show choir competitions, baseball games, and orchestra concerts. A similar story played out as we attended Gustavus Adolphus College, except this time Matthew was driving the zamboni in between periods at my hockey games!

After a two week quarantine, we were lucky enough to spend Thanksgiving together in Duluth. We had planned to set up the Christmas tree after eating dinner. Erin wasn't completely on board with putting up the tree quite yet, but she was persuaded otherwise. After setting up the tree, we opened "presents" from my parents to celebrate setting up our first Christmas tree together. Little did Erin know, we were about to celebrate our engagement! Thus, a new Thanksgiving tradition was born!
