Crystal had just moved back to Minnesota with her family and had started managing a small cafe in a Money Gram office building. This is where she met Deb Cary a sweet but sometimes spicy little korean lady with a heart of gold. She and Deb spent a couple days getting to know one another and developing a good working friendship when Deb suggested Crystal meet her roommate. Crystal though weary of what to expect from a little old lady having a roommate kindly agreed to the meeting. So Deb set it up for Charlie (her roommate of 3 years) to stop by for lunch at the Money Gram Cafe and meet Crystal and they exchanged numbers. I would like to say the rest was history after that but their story has a silly twist. You see the day Charlie came to Money Gram he had marks on his neck that Crystal percieved to be hickeys (they were actually burns from a die cast machine that he had got that week at work). So even though he had asked her on a date to go to a race weekend in Brainerd she declined thinking he may be a player and she wasn't looking for someone like that. A week or so later the two had still been texting back and forth and Charlie had once again asked Crystal out. This time she agreed thinking she'd give him a second chance and to give you the short version. They then met at Broadway Pizza for dinner and drinks. A couple weeks later he asked her to go out with him the night before they were supposed to go to the State Fair at the Lowry Bridge in Minneapolis, 7 years later he proposed at the same bridge, and now 9 years later here they are finally getting married! All because of Deb Cary who would of thought!
