Are you going to have a formal ceremony?

Answer

Nope. We plan to elope privately in the presence of family only in the morning on Saturday, October 3rd. Lauren Harrison will be officiating. We will be excited to celebrate with all afterwards!

What should we wear?

Answer

Whatever you want! Cozy layers are definitely recommended, as October on Orcas Island could bring any type of weather. Prepare for sun or rain and bring a swimsuit if you plan to utilize the spa or swim in the sea.

What should we do for food?

Answer

We kindly ask that you plan to cover your own food during the getaway. We will have some treats to share but encourage you to bring food, utilize the small grocery store at Doe Bay, or plan to eat out at either the Doe Bay Cafe or elsewhere on Orcas Island. If you'd like to prepare a meal or treat to share during the weekend, the Resort House has a large commercial-grade kitchen we can use! There's also a community kitchen on the Doe Bay property. Reach out to Sarah with your food-sharing idea, and she'll add you to the "Food Team" Google doc.
