We’re getting married!

One of our friends had just gotten back from training and her uncle was having a surprise party at his house for her. Ashley, Tony, and I were bringing her to her uncles house where family and friends were to surprise her. We get there and she’s ultimately surprised and happy to see everyone there, I’m just there since I missed her and wanted to spend time with her. As the day goes on we notice each other (pretty sure he noticed me the second I was walking with her), and we talk and then a few of us stay the night and we spent the next day and the day after that and the day after that just hanging out and I have never felt such an immediate attraction to someone in my life like I felt with him. And now I get to marry him! He’s my absolute best friend and he’s the reason I try to be the best me that I can be (even though I know I’m a pain in his butt).

I was talking to him about some things earlier that week and we got on the topic of marriage and all of that good stuff. We were in Pine City and I was laying on the bed watching an ingrown hair removal video (I know, kind of gross) and I see out of the corner of my eye and he’s down on a knee and he’s talking to me and then he asked me if I a wanted to marry him and when I say that I thought he was kidding, I mean it. But I saw the look in his eyes and my heart fluttered and I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes and of course I said yes, this is my best friend and the love of my life we’re talking about! I honestly could not see myself getting married to anyone else, I’ve tried in past ones to see if we’d make it but this one.. I know for sure that we’re going to make it last for the rest of our lives. I can’t picture someone else being the father of my kids, he’s such an amazing person and I’m happy that he loves me more than I’ll ever know.
