Wondering how we fell in love? Pull up a chair - it's a good one.
Jessie & her two college roommates all started at the same company - what odds! One roommate, Vicky, even made her way to Saudi and met Moe. She wasn't long for the Gulf, but knew someone who was!
The trio set up a trip halfway, in Portugal, and that's all Vic wrote. One introduction, a little chemistry, and the rest is history.
It didn't take long to discover we were cut from the same cloth - roaming the Masai Mara, cruising the Bosphorus, and a hot air balloon ride above Luxor told us everything we needed to know.
Mohammed adopted Lucky in Saudi Arabia never expecting a German Shepherd to seal the deal. Lucky chose Jessie immediately, and the three of them never looked back.
If the Middle East gave us our story, DC gave us our first home. After two years abroad we landed in Washington D.C. together - Lucky included.
Moe got in to law school! And we were on the move again, starting with 6 months in Atlanta. We landed just in time for an iconic themed Friendsgiving. Matchmaker Vicky joined too!
Next was Minneapolis, where Mohammed got a crash course in Midwest living one canoe trip at a time. Lucky was a natural.
From there we made our way to Denver. The mountains called, we answered. Will the Rockies be our future home? Stay tuned for Chapter 12!
And then finally, Chicago. Mohammed took on the University of Chicago Law School and graduated this June.
Along the way we learned that the best hobbies are the ones you share. Mohammed had a vision, starting with running. Jessie had doubts. Two marathons each later and she's come around (mostly).
We also discovered a talent for convincing friends that a ski trip was always a good idea. Spoiler: we were never wrong.
And we can't forget hiking! From Colorado to Greece to the Inca Trail, there isn't a trail Jessie's not dragging Mohammed along.
Through every move and milestone, one thing stayed constant - our love for travel. Seventeen countries together and we're just getting started.
And on one of those trips, on a trail in Scotland, Mohammed got down on one knee. Turns out all that hiking was leading somewhere after all.
Seven years, five states, one very adventurous dog - and now, our greatest adventure yet. We can't wait to celebrate with the people we love most.
