We met in 2012, not knowing that a quiet spark was being lit. It began on the church media team—just two teenagers with a shared love for music, movies, laughter, and a few too many retakes during video announcements. What started as simple friendship grew into something deeply rooted: comfort, connection, and a whole lot of inside jokes. By the summer of 2014, that friendship began to bloom into something more. Flirty late-night calls and daydreams about the future replaced casual conversations. Marquis even took Christine to prom—a memory that still shows up on Facebook every May to remind us where it all began. But sometimes, timing just isn’t right. Life pulled us in different directions, and though our story paused, our bond never fully broke. Years passed, and as life settled, so did we—back into each other’s lives. Just like before, we laughed, reminisced, and felt that familiar warmth return. In 2020, we gave our love another shot. We made it “Facebook official” (as one does), and the cheers from friends and mentors filled our hearts with hope. We both wanted the same future, but hadn’t yet learned how to express our needs, fears, and dreams clearly. Miscommunication pulled us apart again—but this time, it was different. We didn’t just walk away; we grew. Over the next few years, we did the hard work—separately. Healing, maturing, building our own paths, and becoming the people we were always meant to be. Personally and professionally, we stepped into purpose. And when we reconnected once more, it wasn’t just with love—it was with clarity, patience, and strength. Now, in 2025, we stand together not just as partners, but as best friends, ready to start forever. This time, there’s no hesitation. Just peace, joy, and deep confidence in each other. Throughout this journey, many of you have been part of our story. You've seen the highs, the heartbreaks, the comebacks—and your support has meant everything. We originally planned to run off and keep this quiet, but… let’s be honest, our families said that they had to be there 😅. So we decided to do what we do best: laugh, love, and celebrate. First, with an intimate moment with family, and now—with all of you. We are so grateful to finally share this chapter with the people who’ve cheered us on from the very beginning.
