Do you believe in fate? I have to admit I didn’t, until one fall night in 2013, when I met Molly by complete chance encounter. That night, I was essentially dragged to Tin Roof against my will by a friend visiting Nashville at the time. By all accounts, it was a pretty uneventful night until my friend spotted a girl he knew from high school. With her, was one of the most beautiful girls I’d ever seen... Molly! Unbeknownst at the time, that was the moment my life would change forever. That night marked the beginning of my pursuit for Molly. It was an uphill battle at first, as Molly wasn’t looking for a relationship, but I clearly didn’t let that stop me. I was in pharmacy school at the time, and Molly was in nursing school, so I took advantage of the need for study time and invited her to come study with me at Lipscomb. One study session led to more study sessions, which ended up bringing us closer together than I ever could’ve imagined. Slowly, but surely, my persistence paid off over the course of the next few months. The connection we made during that time was undeniably, the best thing that either of us had ever experienced. And finally, on Valentine’s Day in 2014, we made our relationship “official”. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this marks the day Mody was born.
