The 2 nearest airport to the lodge are Araucania Airport (ZCO) and Valdivia Airport (ZAL). They are both a little over 2 hours away from the lodge.Note that you will have to connect via the Santiago airport.
Yes, we recommend renting a car! It’s the easiest way to get from the airport to Huilo Huilo and will give you more flexibility to explore the surrounding area at your own pace.
Not at all! You’re welcome to stay at any hotel or Airbnb in the area. That said, staying at one of the Huilo Huilo hotels will be the most convenient option, since you won’t have to drive to the wedding venue.
January is summer time in Chile. In the Huilo Huilo area, you can expect daytime temperatures to be mild and pleasant—usually around 65–75°F (18–24°C)—with cooler evenings that may drop to 45–55°F (7–13°C). Weather in the mountains can be a bit unpredictable, though, so we recommend bringing layers, a light jacket or sweater for the evening, and comfortable shoes if you plan to explore the outdoors.
Since the travel to get there can be up to two days, we recommend setting aside at least 7 days. To avoid feeling rushed, consider arriving in Chile 2–3 days before the wedding, so you have time to rest, enjoy the area, and adjust if there are any travel delays.
To book your stay, please email both reservas@huilohuilo.com and eventos@huilohuilo.com and mention that you are attending Amapola and Mohamed's wedding.
