We met online through match.com and hit off instantly. We had our first date at Fat Cats in Tremont, Ohio, for brunch! If you know Muneera, you know she loves brunch because it’s the perfect meal for those that run late. After our first date, we were ambitious to see each other again. Muneera ended up getting sick a few days after, but that did not stop Matt. He decided to bring Muneera soup and her favorite cereal. He got to meet Bailey for the first time. We wouldn’t say it was love at first jump, but she wore off on Matt, and he loves her. We had our first trip to Alexandria, VA, four months after our first date. Muneera’s passion for travel and sightseeing wore off on Matt. Matt got Muneera to come out of her comfort shell and go on the roof of the highest building in Alexandria (Muneera HATES heights). She did not let go of the wall, but it was a great first vacation. Since our first vacation, we have multiple trips since. Because of their love of travel, Matt was “surprised” (she couldn’t keep the secret) with a trip to New Orleans for his birthday in 2019. Matt has surprised Muneera with Ed Sheeran concert tickets. They’re both always trying to pull off the next best surprise.

While Muneera was at the grocery store, getting things for family dinner, Matt called her frantic that the cake was too small. Matt convinced Muneera that a bigger cake was needed. Muneera agreed to look at it once she got home from the grocery store. Shortly after arriving back, Muneera asked Matt about the cake. While opening the cake, little did Muneera know, Matt was getting down on one knee behind her. Once the cake was finally open, Muneera began crying, and Matt stood there waiting for her to say yes. She said a little more than yes, and now we are planning our big day! We could not be more excited to celebrate the next step in our journey with each of you, who have played (and will continue to play) such a vital part of our adventure!
