How we met

We met the way all great love stories start at a college bar in downtown Wilkes Barre. (Yes, this is the flex I think it is). I would occasionally go out by myself and one night Nick was there with his friends. I recognized one of them from a mutual connection, asked if I could hang out, and basically inserted myself into the group. Turns out, that worked out pretty well for me. Our friend groups eventually combined and after a few months of casually dating we became exclusive and the rest is history. After spending quarantine together in 2020 and living through the madness of covid, here we are 6 1/2 years later with the most beautiful daughter, Luna who is the light of our lives! Nick proposed in the Outer Banks during a family vacation. I made it as difficult as possible for him. He kept asking me to go on a walk while I was busy hanging out with the girls! I said no multiple times because I genuinely did not understand why he was bothering me LOL. I eventually said yes. Our walk took place on the beach at night so if you know, you know. I was losing it over sand crabs, and Nick was trying to distract me by pointing out boats and stars while also kicking the sand in front of me so I wouldn’t step on one and completely spiral. After about 10 minutes of me complaining, I made us turn around. The second I saw our deck I took off running and almost ran right past the candlelit proposal setup. Nick came running up behind me, out of breath, voice trembling trying to ask me the biggest question of his life while I was still recovering from my beach sprint. I asked “are you sure?” a few times LOL and then obviously said yes. And that was the easiest decision I've ever made in my entire life (signed the girl who can't make a decision about anything ever #noragrets)
