At the end of 2021, both Matthew and Michelle felt a calling to surrender everything for the Gospel and to serve the Lord in the mission field. Coming from two different parts of the country, neither could have imagined the divine orchestration that would soon unfold. It was in the small town of Stellenbosch, where their paths first crossed. At the beginning of the following year, they met at a worship evening, a brief encounter that neither thought much of at the time. It wasn’t until a few months later, as both were busy preparing for their seperate ministries in the bustling streets of Stellenbosch, that their worlds collided again. Matthew and Michelle were setting up campaigns for the ministries they worked for, unaware that this encounter would mark the beginning of their shared journey. Not long after, Michelle joined the same ministry that Matthew had devoted his time and heart to, and a friendship began. However, Michelle began perceiving that Matthew was not just a friend or colleague but her future husband. Yet, she remained uncertain of how this would unfold, placing her trust in God's timing. As the Lord would have it, Matthew too came to the same realization. The relationship between them deepened, and on the 14th of February their relationship transitioned from friendship to love. Their love for one another grew with each passing day, cementing what they had both perceived. On the 28th of June 2024, with a heart full of love and anticipation, Matthew knelt down and asked Michelle to spend the rest of her life with him as his wife. The very next day, he was off to Zambia for another mission trip, a reminder that their shared journey would be one filled with purpose and adventure. Now, with their hearts entwined, they count the days until they stand before their family and friends, ready to pledge their lives to one another in marriage. They are excited for all of you to witness this Holy moment, the culmination of a love story written by God Himself, as they begin their new chapter as husband and wife.
