Megan & Michael's Wedding

FAQs

We want to make this trip as easy and fun as possible for everyone! Here you'll find answers to the most common questions. If there's anything we haven't covered, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Question

Your wedding is so far away! What can I do now?

Answer

We purposely sent out save the dates well in advance so everyone has plenty of time to plan for traveling. A valid passport is the most essential thing you will need! Apply for one if needed. If you already have one, make sure your expiration date is at least 6 months after the day you'll return to the US. Flights will not go on sale until June 2026, so in the meantime, start thinking about your trip! We hope everyone can use our wedding as an excuse to explore more of Europe :)

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

We completely understand that destination weddings can be difficult to attend! Once RSVPs are requested, RSVP "no" at your earliest convenience.

Question

How far is the venue from Florence?

Answer

Montecatini Terme is a 45-minute drive or an hour-long train ride from Florence.

Question

Can I bring my kids or a plus one?

Answer

As much as we'd love to host as many people as possible, we chose to have a small, intimate wedding. Due to this and the limited capacity at the venues, this will be an adults-only event open to those listed on the saves the dates/invites.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Traveling to Italy to celebrate with us is more than enough, and we truly do not expect anything more than that. We will have a registry set up at a later date if you wish to contribute, but we emphasize that we do not expect anything from our guests.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There will be a dress code for the events, and we will share more details as we get closer! In general, though, you can expect highs in the mid-70s and lows in the 50s, so be prepared for nice days and slightly chilly nights.

Question

Do you have recommendations if we want to extend our trip?

Answer

First of all, we highly encourage this! Jet lag is real, so we recommend you arrive in Europe at least a day ahead of the wedding celebrations. Starting in Florence is a great option since it's nearby. It's our favorite city, so we're happy to provide recommendations! Megan loves planning trips, so feel free to reach out if you'd like more ideas for before/after the wedding.
