FAQs

We’ve gathered some helpful info to ensure you have all the details you need for our big day. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out!
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! Here’s what to know about the dress code for our big day: For men: A suit and tie (or bow tie) is perfectly appropriate—no tuxedo required, though always welcome if that’s your style. For women: We ask that guests wear formal evening attire. This can include a floor-length gown, a sophisticated midi dress, or a formal cocktail dress. Just think polished, elevated, and appropriate for a special evening celebration. Any colors I should avoid? Yes, please avoid white, ivory, or anything too close to the bride’s dress. We’d love for her to have that moment to shine! We also kindly ask guests to avoid wearing black dresses, as our bridesmaids will be in black.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends! Due to space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If you received a plus one, the option will be included on your invite. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’ve decided to make this a kid-free celebration to ensure all our guests can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to ensure you’re settled in and ready to enjoy the event. We want everyone to have time to enjoy the atmosphere and get comfortable before we say “I do!”

Question

Where will the wedding take place?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be held at The Ruth, located at 2122 Thrift Road C in Charlotte, NC. For your convenience, we’ll have signs and ushers to guide you to the ceremony site.

Question

Will there be a cocktail hour?

Answer

Yes! After the ceremony, we’ll have a cocktail hour where you can relax, mingle, and enjoy some delicious drinks and appetizers before we sit down for dinner.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We’ve created a gift registry for those who wish to contribute to our new life together. You can find all the details on our Registry page. Your presence at the wedding is the best gift of all, but we appreciate anything you choose to give!

Question

What is an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

We’ve decided to make our ceremony “unplugged” so that everyone can be fully present and enjoy the moment without distractions. We kindly ask that all phones, cameras, and other electronic devices be silenced and put away during the ceremony. Our photographer will be capturing every special moment, and we can’t wait to share those memories with you! Feel free to take as many photos as you’d like during the reception!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies! There will be a space on the RSVP page to indicate your preferences, and we’ll make sure there’s something delicious for everyone.
