Monique and I met July 2009 at Underground ATL in Atlanta,GA. We were in line waiting to get inside the club and clumsy Mo stepped on my shoe "by accident". Mo swears it was an accident but we know she just wanted to get my attention being the Phlye guy that I am. We sparked a conversation and exchanged numbers. The next day we met for lunch before I had to head back home to New Orleans. We kept in touch and visited each other for a few months but life pulled us in two differnent directions so we went our seperate ways but remained friends. We reconnected in 2013 when I moved to Atlanta and the rest is history.

We got engaed on New Years Eve 2019. We decided at the very last minute to have a Birthday/New Years Eve Party for me at our home. Funny thing is the gathering almost didnt happen, I was totally against the idea as we had my whole family over for Christmas and I was still tired. However, Kerry was so insistent on having this party so I finally gave in. Right before the count down we all decided to make a toast. I look around the room like ok what are we going to toast to? Kerry says lets toast to this and I look over and he is on his knee asking me to marry him and of course I said YES!!!
