We met at a track and field coaching clinic in Atlantic City. After a long day of attending different sessions, we were introduced by a mutual friend, Brittany (also one of my bridesmaids), and we really hit it off. Brittany and I had plans to go out that night to Boogie Nights. Brittany invited Justin to come out and luckily he decided to. We ended up continuing our conversation from the coach's social earlier in the day and spent the rest of the night dancing to 90s and 2000s hiphop.

Justin planned a long weekend trip to Washington DC for my birthday weekend. The day of the proposal we spent the day visiting all of the monuments (lots of walking around!!). As our day was winding down, we made our way over to The Yards on the premise that we were going to meet up with one of Justin's former athletes who lives in the area. Come to find out, this was an excuse to get me to this part of the city and to this really cool looking bridge. Justin clearly did his homework. As we were walking over the bridge, Justin stopped to get his water bottle out of his bag. Instead of pulling out a water bottle, he pulled out a ring box and confessed to me that we weren't really there to meet up with his former athlete. He then popped the question, to which I said "of course!". At that time, cheers at the end of the bridge erupted and Justin had some of our closest family and friends waiting to celebrate with us! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Philly!
