We both tried online dating for a while with no luck and before almost calling it quits we were matched up on October 18, 2017. We chatted for two days about our families, work, the Cubs, and then he asked to meet. On October 20th we had an amazing first date at Stoney Point Grill that went so well the staff had to ask us to leave because they were closing. We didn't realize we had been there for over 5 hours. We have been inseparable since that day. We both truly met our match.

On Saturday, April 20, 2019, I went out to run errands and when I came back Jon was waiting for me at the garage door. He told me that he had an Easter egg hunt waiting for me and I had to find all 17 numbered eggs throughout the house before I could open them. After having a rough start to my morning I thought he was going above and beyond to make me feel better and to start off the Easter weekend on a fun note. With some help from Charlie and Walter (our pups) I found all of the eggs. Each one was filled with some Hersey Kisses and a note. The first note started with a memory from the day we met and then 15 more going through milestone memories throughout our relationship. The last note ended with him having a question for me and I turned around to him on one knee in our kitchen and he popped the question. I said YES and cried, a lot! We celebrated that evening by going back to the place it all started with some family members and friends and were lucky enough to spend the Easter weekend seeing both of our families and sharing the exciting news.
