A great little town an hour north of Wasilla. Walkable with many shops, restaurants and great views of Denali on a clear day. There are fishing charters and ATV tours offered here as well. Also, the town mayor is a cat!
Alaska Zipline Adventure Park
Hatcher Pass Lodge
The lodge hosts a restaurant and bar that often offers live music featuring local bands. The surrounding area is home to many awesome hiking trails and an abandoned mining town where you can check out the buildings.

Fishing
Plenty of great fishing spots all around the valley depending on what you're fishing for. Hundreds of great fishing charters for anything you want to target. Head down to the Kenai Peninsula for some great salmon and halibut fishing this time of year!

Tons of great hiking and biking spots all around. Rent a mountain bike from Backcountry bike and ski and take it anywhere.
