Our story begins in our senior year pre-cal class. We never spoke a word, but Justin definitely caught Marissa's eye and Marissa was "the cute girl that laughed really loud". Fast forward, Justin moved to Florida to attend Florida State University and Marissa moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas. After four long years, we were both excited to graduate and begin adulting. Justin had planned to stay in Florida and Marissa had planned to stay in Austin. Little did we know, life had other plans. Our senior year of college, COVID hit and we both moved back in with our parents in the Houston area. On March 6, 2021, Marissa and Justin "ran into each other" (Marissa later found out that Justin and his friend had been intentionally trying to run into her and her friend). After "running into each other", we decided that we enjoy spending time together and continued to see each other every weekend. On June 16, 2021, Justin officially asked Marissa to be his girlfriend in the parking lot of Bareback Bar & Icehouse after dinner with friends at Mi Rancho. So romantic ;) The very next weekend, we both moved into our own apartments that happened to be right down the street from each other. After two years of loving each other, laughing a ton, traveling, and lots of date nights, we moved into our first home. On September 23, 2023, Justin spent the morning decorating our living room with flowers and candles. Marissa walked downstairs, saw Justin on one knee, and immediately started crying. And of course said yes! We are so excited to begin this new chapter and can't wait to celebrate with you all!
