Flying into the area
Mission Ranch is located in Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA. This is only 15 minutes from the Monterey Regional Airport. If possible, it's very convenient to fly into Monterey, but most family and friends will find better options by flying into San Jose International Airport located 1.5 hours away by car. MJ's parents and some friends live close to SJC International so please let us know if we can help out with arrangements! There are shuttle services that can take you from SJC to Monterey/Carmel area. If you opt for the shuttle, we recommend booking your stay in Downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea so you can walk to shops, restaurants and coffee while you're in town - it's a great area. Rental cars are also a great option so you have the freedom and flexibility to explore the area. SJC International has plenty of rental car options but let us know if you have any questions.

Mission Ranch Hotel + Restaurant
$$ Yes - you can stay AT our venue! How convenient. Mission Ranch rooms are cozy, cottage style and on the smaller side. Our venue features a delicious restaurant and beautiful grounds, but it is not walking distance to the downtown portion of Carmel-By-The-Sea. As of recently, it looks like we have used our reserved hotel block here at MR. However, you're more than welcome to call and see if anything has opened up for our Oct 4 weekend - this does happen and you can always jump on the opportunity.

Homestead Hotel
$$ Homestead Hotel is the sister property to our venue, Mission Ranch. It has the same cozy charm but it's located right in the heart of Carmel-by-The-Sea. There are limited rooms available, as it is an intimate little property but we have reserved a few for our special guests! Mention the Herrington Wedding when inquiring to get set up on our block.

$$ Located conveniently at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Carmel Valley Road, Carmel Mission Inn is a great option for those of you who opted for a rental car and are excited to get out and see the sites. Perfect location to explore Carmel Valley, Point Lobos, Carmel-By-The-Sea, and more!

$$$$ Looking to treat yourself while visiting Carmel? La Playa is the place to be in downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea. The property is a beautifully restored historic mansion featuring breezy coastal rooms, complimentary champagne brunch and manicured gardens. It's inthe heart of the town - walking distance from the beach, coffee shops and restaurants.

Alternate Hotels
We decided to offer hotel blocks for the two properties affiliated with our wedding venue: Mission Ranch Hotel and Homestead Hotel. We have also looked into the recommendations above and think they're suitable options for the different needs and priorities of our guests. That being said, Carmel offers some of the most beautiful hotels/properties in the country (Pebble Beach Lodge, Spanish Bay and Quail Lodge to name a few) as well as more affordable options just down the road in Monterey (Holiday Inn Express, Hilton Garden Inn, etc). We hope the wide variety of options make booking your travel easy and convenient. Please let us know if we can help in any way!
