On February 8th, 2021, Yuki and Ann went on their first date at Grand Ave Park in Diamond Bar. As Ann was getting ready for the date she found out she got into her Master's of Social Work program at CSULB (talk about good omens) and Yuki was the first one to know! Yuki brought bentos, sparkling water (which Ann didn't even drink), folding chairs, a picnic blanket, and tennis equipment. They had a picnic, played tennis, AND went on a hike. Foreshadowing into their action-packed life together. Yuki and Ann both left the date excited to see each other again. The first couple months their days were marked with long facetimes and calls learning everything there was to know about each other and just enjoying each other's company. Despite living together, they continue to take every opportunity to talk on the phone whenever Ann is commuting from work or their driving to see their families. Certified yappers. In May 2021, Ann introduced Yuki to a croissant so delicious he said "The only thing that would make this moment better is if you would be my girlfriend." Shout out Arsicault in San Francisco (recommended by Ashley and Alex). Ann and Yuki's years of dating were filled with long drives to each other, sharing the most delicious meals, travelling the world, and partaking in each other's hobbies. From fishing, to hiking, to tennis, golf, running and now walking their fluffy son Mookie, they love to spend time outside with each other. Their signature date is enjoying Bay Cities sandwiches at Will Rogers State Beach and ending the day with Ginger's ice cream on the way home. Despite Yuki having the flu and bedridden hours prior, on March 8, 2025 at Signal Hill, he popped the question. In front of all their closest friends and family, surrounded by handmade bouquets, they promised each other forever. In November 2025, Ann and Yuki purchased their first home together in Long Beach, CA a city that means so much to them. They are currently working on making the house a home.
