We do not have a block of rooms reserved but the closest hotel that we recommend is the Hampton Inn Emerson Lakepoint. We toured this hotel and it is a clean and updated hotel. This is right off of I-75. There is a Starbucks and a handful of restaurants. (Note: There is a baseball tournament this week. If they do not have rooms you might be able to find one here through a travel website.)
Red Top Mountain State park is also very close. It offers cottages, tent camping, and RV camping. This is a beautiful and spacious park for camping.

This is a beautiful and well maintained campground. Please note that the address given on the website does not actually take you to the campground. It can be confusing at first where to enter as there are multiple entrances to the park. Be sure to go to the visitors center and they can tell you the best entrance for the campground.
