Our love story begins in January 2018. We met on a film set, naturally, as Mitchell working behind the scenes and I was the actress. We began flirting back and forth while on set, but... I had a boyfriend at the time! Awkward! I could tell Mitchell was laying it on thick, but I quickly put up boundaries and ended up friend-zoning Mitchell for the next 5 months. Once I broke up with my ex, it was a few shorts weeks after that our love story was on the fast track. Our theatre & film college always has an end of year banquet and that is where I set my plan in motion. While getting ready for the evening, I was stalking Mitchell on instagram, as a woman does. I told Kate, one of my bridesmaids, "I think I want to kiss Mitchell tonight at the after party!" That was my main goal for the evening. Showing up to the banquet, I spotted Mitchell immediately in the food line. I cut the line to be right behind him and made my move. While he was scooping mashed potatoes, I said "We should hang out at the after party this evening." Mitchell paused for a moment and replied "Yeah, we should!" We then spent the entire evening together laughing and talking for four hours on the patio of the house. After that, we spent the next week attached at the hip before I left Nebraska for the summer and went home to Texas for 3 months. Before I left, I accidentally asked Mitchell to be my boyfriend as a joke. I said "We have so much in common, so we should just date already!" Mitchell did not take that as a joke. He said "Okay! Let's date!" So, May 2, 2018 is the day we started dating and have been together ever since. I remember leaving for Texas the next day and while driving I called my grandma to tell her I found my prince charming and thinking that Mitchell is the one. I'm so glad I followed my gut and accidentally asked him to be my boyfriend because that was the best thing I could have ever done. We are now getting married on our 8 year anniversary so we can keep our magical date forever!
