Our wedding venue is on a privately owned ranch. The space is very large and permits social distancing. The venue has informed us though they encourage everyone to follow state orders, they will not be enforcing them at the wedding. Wear a mask if you please, but at this private property, it is not required. Thank you, Mitch & Monica
As any romantic love story goes, Mitch & Monica met at a high school party. Monica walked out to a porch with all the seats taken. Outspoken & never shy, she asked everyone, "where am I suppose to sit?" Mitch sitting on an ice chest scooted over quickly & said, "you can sit next to me." Truly, the rest was history. Mitch messaged Monica the following weekend to hang out. There was one condition, he had to drive her & her best friend Heather to the river. Haha! They dated on and off, but finally about 9 years ago, Mitch returned home from college & Monica was living with 3 other girls in San Marcos, they reconnected for the last time. They both said from that point on, it was just easy, they felt like best friends in love & wanted to spend all of their time together. Pieces fell into place quickly & they both knew this was a forever kind of love.
Once a year, Mitch & Monica like to take a trip together. This year, Monica chose the Bahamas for their getaway! Monica wanted to swim with the pigs & sharks! Mitch did a good job of pretending he may not be able to get away from work for their trip. Monica insisted they needed to go for some much deserved R&R time. Mitch "reluctantly" packed a carry on bag. Mitch always travels light but he wanted to make sure not to let his bag out of his sight this time as it had very precious cargo in it, the ring! As they boarded their flight, the flight attendant told Mitch the flight was extremely full & they would have to check his bag for him. After storms, missed flights & stereotypical bad luck, Mitch's bag was the very last bag to come off the plane in the Bahamas! (Haha!) It was their second day there when Mitch decided it would be the perfect night to pop the question. They spent the whole day relaxing on the beach & met a couple who was on their honeymoon! While Monica was showering, Mitch asked them if they would like to help take photos of the proposal. They were ecstatic to help! To Monica's knowledge, they ran into the couple at the beach bar & SHE invited them to go on their sunset walk with them, making Mitch's plan very easy. The sunset was full of pastels that felt like a dream. After they took a posed picture, Mitch said "actually there is something I have been planning" & dropped to one knee. Monica has trouble recalling everything he said because she was so surprised & overwhelmed but she does remember he said, "you're my best friend & I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" So stunned, Monica just kept saying "oh my gosh, no way." Mitch actually had to ask her if it was a "yes?" & of course it was! They spent the evening calling their parents, toasting with new friends, fine dining at a steak house & hardly eating their food because they were both so excited. It was a trip of a lifetime that they both will never forget!
