In the beginning, some might have believed that we met due to a mutual love of cereal, casually perusing the isles to eventually meet up grabbing the very same box of Lucky Charms. Others might have thought that we met in Baltimore, out drinking with our friends. But the truth of the matter, for those of you who still don't know... we swiped right! Thank you Tinder for getting our fire started! After a casual conversation about Mitchell's famous pulled pork (which was just in its infant stages), we started talking and eventually found ourselves setting up our first date - dinner at Iron Hill Brewery in Lancaster followed by seeing Hunger Games, Catching Fire... ah, the good old fashioned dinner and a movie trick. I should have known! He laughed at all my jokes, and I thought he was pretty funny himself. We hit it off immediately and the rest is truly history!
Mitchell has been wanting to visit Niagara Falls for years now and we finally found a long weekend and set out to make the early morning trek up to Canada. We stayed on the Canadian side and our hotel room gave us full views of the American and the Canadian Falls. Saturday morning, we went down to see the falls during the day. We started closer to the American side, taking in the views, and kept walking down towards the Canadian falls. When we were about to start walking again, Mitchell stopped me and told me he had something that he has been wanting to ask me... and we were engaged! PS - I didn't drop the ring into the water!
In all seriousness, our original wedding was absolutely stunning and everything we wanted. The only thing missing was the rest of our family and friends. We decided it was really important to us to have everyone help celebrate our marriage with our "I Do, Redo" on our 1 year anniversary!
