Our favorite ice cream shop in STL - we went to the Macklind location for our first date! Madeleine's fave is the salted caramel cookies and cream and Mitchell likes the honey lavender.
Missouri Botanical Garden
Mitchell & Madeleine are members here and used to live right next door. Beautiful gardens in the middle of STL city! Also features a Children's Garden and Splash Pad.
City Museum
CityMu is a 600,000 sq. ft. playground housed in an old shoe factory in downtown STL. The whole thing is eclectic and bizarre with 30+ slides (one of which is 10 stories long), elaborate underground caves, a ferris wheel, indoor treehouse and tunnels, aquarium, circus, outdoor elevated playground, and even a schoolbus hanging off the edge of the rooftop. Definitely worth a visit, but wear climbing clothes/shoes!
Saint Louis Science Center
The STL Science Center is one of the only free nonprofit science museums in the country, and it features more than 700 interactive experiences in ten galleries, as well as an indoor-outdoor GROW agricultural pavilion and gallery, the famous McDonnell Planetarium, and a four-story OMNIMAX® Theater.
The Tower Grove Farmers' Market
A very fun way to spend a Saturday morning and support local small businesses!
Saint Louis Art Museum
While this is a very popular (and free!) STL date night locale, the real move is to picnic on Art Hill just in front of it! We do this often and enjoy it every time.
