Our Story
Mitch and Lauren met at UW-Green Bay, where they were both college athletes. Mitch transferred to UWGB before his senior year to play basketball, while Lauren was on the golf team.
Lauren spent most of her college athletic years having knee surgeries (7 to be exact), and Mitch got injured early in the basketball season. Meaning they both spent LOTS of time in the training room. They had the same athletic trainer (s/o to Missy), which meant they often found themselves rehabbing side by side. This is when they started to get to know each other. Alex & Rylee (some of Lauren’s bridesmaids) helped Mitch get Lauren’s number, and the rest is history.
They also attended the student-athlete ministry group on campus, which strengthened their faith and relationship with God as they navigated college athletics.
After college, they braved a long-distance relationship while Lauren attended PA school at Butler in Indiana. Now, they’re thrilled to start their lives together back in Madison, WI.
