Katie and Mitchell have known each other since preschool days. For decades, Mitchell and Katie orbited one another in school and social circles until one fateful summer three years ago when Katie's brother, David, recruited her to play intramural “sports ball” on his softball team where David was the GM and Mitchell was the coach. The gravitational pull between them grew that summer as Mitchell both stole bases and glances at Katie. She was, after all, his friend’s sister and had been jokingly reminded she was out of bounds. At the same time Katie would tell friends and family how “Mitchell Bouldin grew up!” Mitchell continued to pave the way into Katie’s heart by inviting her to visit him while he bartended at Stoneburner. They realized they had a ton in common: they were both public school teachers, 55th Street Preschool alums, loved the same music, and had attended many of the same concerts over the years, even some out of state! People began to talk, people began to wonder, and then all was confirmed when the planets finally collided and Mitchell and Katie started dating. Fast forward 2.5 years, Mitchell proposed to Katie at the foot of a waterfall in May of 2024 and they began planning their wedding and life together!   July 18 we will celebrate these two incredible people as they venture on to new adventures together.
