Travel & Driving Directions

The Wedding Website of Heather Taylor and Mitchell Coziar
Sloat is a very small town in the mountains of Plumas County, California. There is lodging in the area, but there are more options in nearby Quincy or Graeagle. Both of these towns are about 15-20 minutes from Sloat. There is additional lodging in Truckee, CA, about 1 hour 10 minutes away, and in Reno, NV, about 1 hour 30 minutes away. If you use Google Maps or similar to get driving directions to this location, it may direct you to take other roads. Although the other roads will ultimately get you there, using the driving directions below will be the most effective and easiest way to get to the venue location. There will be signs at the intersection of HWY70 and Sloat Road, and along the route to guide you.

Travel Note

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Graeagle, CA: Travel west on HWY70 for about 8 miles, then turn south (left) on Sloat Road. From Quincy, CA: Travel east on HWY70 for about 14 miles, then turn south (right) on Sloat Road. Once on Sloat Road, you are about 2 miles away from the venue. After you pass some ranch-style homes, the road will narrow and will be parallel to the railroad tracks. It will seem that you have gone too far, but just keep going through the forest about 1/2 mile where you will come to a fork. Head towards the right, go through a gate and over the railroad tracks. Follow the dirt road and you will find the parking area.

Travel Note

PARKING DETAILS

There is no formal parking lot at our venue, and we ask that you park on either side of the dirt road after the railroad tracks. Please allow for some extra time to park as parking ushers will direct you to the best spot.
