What should I wear?

Answer

Our recommendation is cocktail or garden attire. We would also recommend comfortable shoes without heels, as the outdoor area is gravel. The venue is a combination of indoor and partly covered outdoor areas with most of the event happening in the outdoor area. Please check the weather and dress accordingly.

Is this a wedding ceremony?

Answer

We are having a private wedding ceremony with immediate family only, the day prior. Your invitation is for the party!

Where should I stay?

Answer

Girdwood has one main hotel, Alyeska Resort, and many Airbnb's around the town. Airbnb is typically cheaper than Alyeska. Staying in Anchorage is about a 45 minute drive from Girdwood for anyone who wants to make that trip after the festivities.

Are you registered? Where?

We have a registry on the tab at the top of the website for kitchen items from our favorite local store Metro Cooks or honeymoon funds!

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the reception?

Answer

Girdwood has a free shuttle that runs from Alyeska Resort throughout town, and stops very close to the venue. Here is the website of the shuttle service if you want to explore that option: https://girdwood.com/information/glacier-valley-transit/

Will there be parking available?

Answer

There are public parking lots on "Girdwood Place" on the left, just before the venue. However, parking spots will be limited, so carpool or walk if you can!
