Maid of Honor
One can never underestimate the amount of glitter and shine Airis brings into the world. A good one to have by your side in times of crisis, he is always there with a pair of scissors to assist when I spontaneously cut my bangs. I am forever grateful to be blessed with an older brother who took the time to bring me into his world and show me what true acceptance and love is about. Thank you for having my back through it all. My fondness for champagne and Ab Fab can be directly attributed to him.
Best Man
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this man for the past 20 years of my life and we've formed a bond that is nothing short of brotherhood. He has experienced the evolution of awkward prepubescent, angsty teenager, overly confident adolescent, and now finally fumbling adult. He’s stuck by my side as a voice of confidence and reason, always the first to support me in times of success or failure. I will forever cherish our 12 hour summer days, endless bike rides, ultimate frisbee tournaments, and screamo-grunge phase.
Matron of Honor
We shared a room for longer than either of us wanted, but I appreciate all the time I get to spend with you now! Jessica is such a giving and loyal soul, as well as an amazing mom. Her sense of calm is almost unshakeable, which is great when you somehow magically end up right next to the mosh pits at every concert. I'm glad you were my first friend in this world. I couldn't ask for a better sister to take care of any spiders in my vicinity, and you know how much that means to me!
Best Man
A bond forged in the rolling hills of Umbria and battle-tested in the mountains of Japan. This man was my first and only college roommate during a special time in my life while studying abroad in Perugia, Italy. Since then we have traveled all over the world together and no amount of sleep deprivation, miles hiked, or nearly missed flights has ever slowed us down. He is the Yin to my Yang, helping me to stay grounded and appreciate those fleeting moments in life.
Bridesmaid
We met in French class and, thanks to forced interaction, true love grew. Now over a decade later we have come through every experience stronger than before. This includes (but is not limited to) a near death bear experience. I am so proud to get to stand beside you as we do this crazy thing called life and appreciate having someone who shares in all the little things that make me happiest. Cheers to my other other half! Honestly the toughest and most creative woman in my life and I can't wait to see what our future brings.
Groomsman
This guy shares the title of both twin brother and oldest friend. As I get ready for what will undoubtedly be one of the most treasured moments in my life, I think fondly back to us flying too high on the swing sets in the backyard, discussing what life might have in store for us. He is the most thoughtful person I know and demonstrates an astounding amount of patience when it comes to explaining all of my computer problems. A crucial part of our relationship has always been our ability to tag-team video games, and I’m proud to have you in my real life party as well!
Bridesmaid
Melinda and I met while attending MTSU, and quickly bonded over love of film, travel and niche serial killer knowledge. Melinda is the most insightful and empathetic individual you will have the pleasure of knowing. Words cannot give credit to the amount of love and humor she brings to any occasion. Disclaimer: while she is one of the funniest people you will ever meet, she also believes that puns are a necessity in the workplace. Take that how you will.
Groomsman
I can only refer to him as a younger brother now, as the title of “little” has long since left him. He towers over me in both height and patience, as I have never met a man who is able to remain so calm under any pressure. The most gentle of souls and a creative mind that I continue to see evolve before my eyes. I remember back to the days when we used to play imaginary games with fairy-tale endings, and happy to have you by my side for my real fairy-tale ending.
Bridesmaid
Sometimes you meet someone and they grow into your family. Libby became an older sister that I didn't realize I needed and it has been nothing short of magic. Her acceptance and patience with my ludicrous plans and both of our hectic schedules is miraculous. I am beyond blessed to benefit from her guidance, understanding and never ending love. Libby has been right there through my best and toughest moments. You will learn more about life having an afternoon talk session with her than any upper level classes.
Groomsman
The start to my friendship with Ben was truly blessed from the start as I witnessed him brilliantly stand up for himself and others as he verbally tore apart a high school bully. My inner nerd can truly shine unabashedly when we get to hang out, and have had many nights watching our favorite anime or playing endless hours of video-games together. His character shines brightly both on the screen and in real life, always looking to spread joy and bring out the best in people.
Bridesmaid
Under the definition of "ride or die you" will find a photo of this Chaldean princess. Doesn't matter if it's time for a trip around the world or meet up at the brewery for a no quarter given game of battle ship, Jordan is always someone you can count on. Whether she is helping to paint my house or listen to me vent all of my problems away, I know she will always be by my side lifting me up. Her special talents include donut drive-bys at 2 a.m. and an amazing Fran Fine impression.
Groomsman
I first met Kyle in college during a chance meeting in the library. It turned out that we were in the same undergraduate major AND would be in the same graduate program down the line. We bonded over our love of video games, memes, and biting sense of humor. A pillar of support through the tumultuous times in PT school, he allowed me to remain sane through that last year of our research before graduation. The definition of cool and collected, I am forever grateful we were introduced at such a formative time in life.
Bridesmaid
Brittney and I already forged our friendship in the fires of Mount Doom when due to a massive family reunion we found out we are, in fact, cousins. Brittney has a presence that makes those around her find the humor in all that life can bring. She is an amazing storyteller and impressionist. Please ask her to recount our trials and triumphs while slinging pizzas during our college years. They say you can't pick your family only your friends, but I am forever grateful that fate made us both.
Groomsman
Karl remains a beacon of light and hope in my life. We first met in Perugia, Italy and got to know each other several weeks into our new adventure while traveling to a faraway city. I will never forget the profound train ride I found myself having next to this stranger, who opened himself up to me with the most vulnerable and thought provoking conversation. I’m so thankful to have Karl in my life to remind me that even when the tough times come along he’ll be there to remind me that I can get through anything at all.
Bridesmaid
Soon after forming our friendship, Charlie took me to my first and last frat party to date. Thankfully that was not the end of our antics and we continue to be best friends. She remains a beacon of light for all those around her and manages to be there with the perfect amount of donuts/boba for any awful day. Charlie is one of the strongest individuals and still manages to be the most compassionate...that is unless you are a Nashville driver trying to merge.
Groomsman
A man of depth and intrigue who also came into my life during my time in Perugia. He has an astounding ability to make people feel heard and our 1-on-1 conversations never cease to leave me feeling with a sense of genuine concern and understanding. He has the greatest fashion sense I’ve ever seen, which may come with the territory of being a California native. His dry sense of humor and comedic timing is second to none and the only thing I’d change about him is that he lived a little closer to the East side.
