The governor of Alabama has lifted the stay at home order, so nothing about the events of the wedding will change. However, we will take some extra precautions in order to ensure the health and safety of all our guests. We will ask that people follow the six foot social distancing guidelines during the fellowship reception, and we will arrange event seating in a way that encourages social distancing. The venue is mainly outdoors, so there will be plenty of room to enjoy others (and some outdoor games) while keeping a safe distance! We will also be live streaming the ceremony on both of our Facebook pages so anyone who is unable to attend will still be able to watch.
Mitchell, Carol Anne and Asa currently serve on a traveling ministry team together with 6 other adults and four other children. Carol Anne joined the team in the fall of 2015 and Mitchell joined in January of 2019. The Coffey evangelistic team travels during the school semesters in churches across the US to encourage and serve the local body of believers. Every Saturday is travel day. Sunday through Friday they spend each evening holding revival meetings with programs for teens and children also. Every week culminates in an outreach event that we call our "Irish Concert." Mitchell plays the banjo, guitar, mandolin and the upright bass. Carol Anne plays piano, accordion, the Irish penny whistles the flute and sings. Asa. . . adds life to the party and evokes laughter from all who surround him.
Our contract with the Coffeys ends in May and we are excited to step into our next ministry together. We will be moving up to South Bend, IN for Mitchell to begin a job as Children's Pastor and Science teacher at Community Baptist Church and school. We are praying currently that God will open the door for us to become home owners this summer so that we can make an easy transition up there this summer. Please pray with us and we'll keep you updated as we house hunt and make plans for our official move at the end of May (Lord willing).
