FAQs

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

There will be an outdoor ceremony with an indoor cocktail hour and reception.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is street parking around the Sterling Hotel but it is limited. Note, that street parking is metered; meters take credit/debit cards or quarters. Our recommendation is to park in the Memorial Garage just one block away on 14th & H. The Memorial Garage has a flat rate of $5 after 5pm on Friday and all day Saturday. This parking garage is managed and operated by the City of Sacramento.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony is set to start at 5pm, we recommend being in your seat 5-10 minutes prior to the ceremony beginning. Please give yourself enough time to find parking, take the short walk (about a block) to the venue, and find our seat BEFORE 5pm.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in cocktail attire or semi-formal attire. Cocktail dresses (or longer) for the ladies, suits or dark slacks for the men. Please no jeans/denim and avoid shades of white.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Beer, wine, seltzer, and cider are ON US! Cocktails are available for purchase, if that is what you prefer. For this reason we encourage you to Uber/Lyft to and from the venue. Please make sure you have a way to get home safely.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on our wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and please reach out with any questions.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

The children at this event will be limited. We encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like. And don't forget to share them with us!

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is gift enough, but should you wish to buy us something, we'd greatly appreciate a contribution toward our honeymoon fund or a gift from our registry page.
