Our story began on a snowy day at Annette Lake, where we met while snowshoeing. What started as an ordinary adventure quickly became something extraordinary when we built an altar in the snow to celebrate Mass — a beautiful reminder that God was at the heart of our connection from the very beginning. Our first date didn’t go quite as planned (Mitch was two hours late!), but it turned out to be the start of something wonderful. From that day on, we discovered a shared love for the outdoors, good food, family, friends, and a deep faith that continued to bring us closer together. Mitch first told Susan he loved her during their trip to Ohio — a moment that marked the beginning of a lifelong journey together. When Mitch later accepted a job that required moving to Ohio, Susan had no hesitation; she knew this was where God was calling them next. In September, Mitch proposed at Snoqualmie Falls, surrounded by family and the beauty of God’s creation. It was an unforgettable “yes” — the start of forever. As we prepare to begin this new chapter, we are filled with gratitude for God’s faithfulness and the incredible love and support of our family and friends. We cannot wait to continue walking hand in hand, following His plan, and growing together in love and faith for all the days to come.
