We had breakfast here and love-love-loved it! Pancakes with vanilla ice cream, need I say more? Oh, and fabulous bloody mary's...they even give to go cups!
Cochon RESTAURANT
We found this restaurant by accident. What a gem! We sat by the kitchen and the chef sent us little samples. Call for reservations.
Cafe Du Monde
Eat beignets hot and prepare to get covered in powdered sugar!

We stopped here for their speciality...the hurricane! Try one!
Faulkner House of Books
Mitchell and I did a fun little walking tour of the city and this was one of the stops. We picked up a great book on New Orleans ghost stories. The woman who runs the shop was a no nonsense book aficionado and can recommend anything you like. Book lovers go here!

Oak Alley Plantation
If you have time to visit a plantation, we suggest this one! The tour was wonderful, the guides are dressed in era pieces and the grounds are beautifully lined with trees and gardens. Enjoy a mint julep and grab fried gator at the restaurant!
Frenchmen Street
One of our tour guides suggested Frenchmen Street for live jazz and boy oh boy you will not be disappointed! He suggested Three Muses and the Spotted Cat, but honestly you can just stroll along the street and follow the music!
Jackson Square
Just wander the square and soak up shops, local artists, and the St. Louis Cathedral!
Commander's Palace
Had a fancy dinner here! It was wonderful! You do have to make reservations so call in advance!
Haunted History Tours
We did this tour and had a blast hearing scary tales and enjoying drinks at every stop! Our guide was awesome and if you're looking for something spooky this is a good one!
