We met in college back in the spring of 2019. Even though we attended the same high school at the same time, it tooks us traveling all the way to Purdue University Fort Wayne to meet each other. We shared education classes together. Tori always thought Mitchel was the cute one in the classroom, but thought he had liked someone else. Mitchel sent his wing-woman to tell Tori that he had a crush on someone in class, and Tori thought it was another girl...so it did not work for Mitchel in college -- or really Tori, as she sat in the back corner all alone while Mitchel socialized with the other friends (including girls) on the complete opposite side of the classroom. It took Mitchel messaging Tori about her newly decorated classroom for Christmas for him to get a response. To which he did, and the rest is history.

The proposal took place at Mitchel's parents house with Christmas lights in the trees, just like our first date. We were coming back from dinner, and as Tori was giving a Christina Aguilera concert in the car, Mitchel turned off the music and looked and said, "you know I love you right?" Tori knew from right there what was about to happen. She immediately started crying and Mitchel told her to close her eyes. He then escorted her out of the car and walked her toward the path of lights. He then took her to the main tree with all the lights on it, got down on one knee and they said yes to forever.
