Our story begins in January of 2022. Mitch and Sam became friends through a mutual friend and instantly hit it off. Since meeting, Mitch and Sam have been inseparable, and now they’re getting married. The end. Just kidding- we’re sure you want to know more. We began talking after Mitch had shared a post on Facebook saying “having a girlfriend means actually talking to girls” Sam responded “ew, so I have to talk to boys to get a boyfriend? 🤢” With humor and sarcasm, we began talking regularly. Our first date was actually a superbowl party which at the time, Mitch was not a huge football fan. (Flash forward to 2026 and he is a diehard Bills fan). After 3 years of dating, Mitch proposed to Sam at Fort Zachary Taylor before Sam’s best friend’s wedding. Sam, of course, made the proposal “difficult” according to Mitch. After years of saying “hmm that ring would be really nice, if only” or “hmm if I were to get engaged I would……” Mitch gathered all this information that Sam wanted and Sam did…. The exact opposite. But, Mitch wasn’t surprised. Now, we will be married! We have put personal touches on our wedding that yes, are not traditional and yes, are not the “norm”. Rather than having a traditional wedding, we wanted a laid back experience with good food, good drinks, and lots of love. We want you to come as you please and stay as long as you’d like. We wanted to incorporate our loved ones in some way. From the ceremony, to the location, to the food to the decorations, there is a specific meaning as to “why” it is. We are so excited to celebrate with you!
