We were both sophomores at Sparta High School. We had biology class together and Mitchel had a seat right next to one of my friends. I would always ask him to move so I could sit next to her during work time. A random day in April, Mitchel messaged me on Facebook asking how I was and to get to know me. One thing lead to another and he asked me on our first date to see Captain America, the movie. He picked me up and met the parents. We hung out many times after that going to football games, movies, parks, and, of course, two-tracking. On June 6th, 2014, we went to dinner and out to the movies. After we got back to the car, Mitchel asked me if I would be his girlfriend, and I said "Sure!"

We were spending a long weekend in Denver, CO. On Thursday, April 28th, 2022, we spent the day in the Rocky Mountains National Park. We hiked around Bear Lake, Nymph Lake, and made it all the way to Emerald Lake. The whole way there, I would take photos using my apple watch or have other people take our photos. Mitchel would tell me to take a video as a way to take our own photos and I would always turn it down. On the way back to the car, we stopped at Nymph Lake to rest and eat a snack. We sat on a little wood bench and Mitchel convinced me to take a video to get the photo. I propped my phone up and started the video. We posed for the camera and then Mitchel got down on one knee asking me to marry him. Of course, I said yes! We took it all in and then hiked back to the car to call and tell our families the big news!
