If you want to get the best 360 views of town, Cross Mountain will be your your go-to. Just a quick 5-10 minute hike to the top, your photo op is waiting! NOTE: If you’re up for a more challenging hike, definitely make a day trip to Enchanted Rock!

Japanese Garden of Peace
Nestled behind the Nimitz Museum is the Japanese Garden of Peace. This garden is a perfect replica of the Imperial Japanese Navy’s Marshal Admiral Togo’s meditation garden, and is free of charge to visit.

Although there are many other wineries in Fredericksburg, Mitchel and Abigail may be a little biased to Slate Theory Winery, as their wedding venue is owned by the same family! Slate Theory is family owned and operated, with an amazing underground wine cellar tasting experience (and delicious wine!).
