The happy couple met bathed in the blue lights of the Combat Direction Center on the USS Nimitz. Brenna was an unwilling passenger on the giant cruise ship, trying desperately to hitchhike a helicopter from San Diego back to where she belonged, her own warship USS Shoup. Mitch was a lonely computer nerd, hunched over a console, pining for home in the PNW, and oblivious to the overtures of the hot new visitor. They bonded over air defense tactics and combat snacks, but when she left, he thought that was the last he'd ever see of her. She had other plans, and guessed his ship email address. Over the course of the next year, their relationship blossomed over Mako chat, while they met as often as they could for romantic rendezvous in such far-flung places as San Diego, Guam, South Korea and Japan. After a year of long distance, they decided to move in together in San Diego, and shortly after he proposed. Now, they look forward to celebrating the next chapter of their lives together with all their loved ones, including you.
