Why not? We are so excited to have friends and family traveling from all over the country to join us in Palm Springs for a full weekend of celebration. Because the City of Palm Springs has a strict 10:00 PM curfew, our wedding night will wrap a little earlier than a typical celebration. So, rather than squeezing everything into one evening, we decided to make a weekend of it. In place of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we’re welcoming everyone to join us Saturday for an Italian beach club–inspired day of spritzes, sunshine, and celebration. Who doesnt want a little extra time together, a little more fun, and the perfect way to kick off the weekend.
Please visit the “Travel” section of our website for more details on where to stay. We know guests will be joining us from all over, in groups of all sizes and for varying lengths of time, so we wanted to make sure there are options for everyone. That is one of the many reasons we chose Palm Springs, it offers a little bit of everything. While we booked our venue well in advance, we recently learned there is a music festival happening the same weekend, which may make accommodations in the surrounding area more limited than expected. Nothing to stress over, but we do recommend booking sooner rather than later. Please feel free to reach out to either Mitch or Tyler directly if you would like any additional guidance. We are happy to help you find the best option for your stay.
Tyler and Mitch strongly encourage guests to use rideshare options when traveling to and from the weekend festivities. Palm Springs and the surrounding areas have a small-town mentality, and our priority is making sure everyone gets around safely and responsibly throughout the weekend. Uber and Lyft are both available in the area and should be easily accessible. For anyone driving in or renting a car, Old Polo Estate also has a large parking area on-site. Cars may be left there for a few hours, overnight, or for the full weekend if needed.
The dress code and color palette are very important to us for a few reasons. First, we love the idea of giving everyone a clear sense of the overall vision for the weekend. We chose these themes with intention, not to make things difficult, but to create a beautiful, cohesive atmosphere while still leaving room for everyone to find something that feels like them. Second, Old Polo Estate is such a lush, vibrant setting, and the rich jewel-tone palette was chosen to complement the venue, the season, and the overall feeling of the celebration. When everyone leans into the dress code, it helps create an atmosphere that feels elevated, intentional, and timeless. We kindly ask that guests follow the attire guidance so the weekend feels cohesive both in person and in the photos we’ll cherish for years to come. Most importantly, we want everyone to feel confident, celebrated, and dressed for a very special occasion.
We absolutely love your kids. Truly, we do. That said, we have chosen to make our wedding weekend an adults-only celebration. This weekend is not only about us, but also about creating a carefree, celebratory escape for the people we love most. Kids bring so much joy, but we also know they require attention, care, and support. Our hope is to create an environment where our guests can fully relax, be present, let loose, and enjoy the weekend from start to finish. We understand that this may require extra planning, especially for those traveling in for the weekend. If helpful, Tyler and Mitch would be happy to connect you with a vetted, professional childcare service we have worked with before. We love you, we love your kids, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you.
