I first met Kylie when I went to work my first BYU sporting event. I thought she was cute, but I was too nervous to ask her out in the beginning. I would use any opportunity I could to talk to her before events started; we talked about all kinds of things, from conservation to vanity sizing in men's clothing. Fast forward two and a half years, and Kylie finally worked up the guts to slide into my DM's. After a day of walking the dog and feeding horses, I asked her on a dinner date. After she tried my homemade enchiladas, she thought I was okay.
On May 24th, Mitch and I drove the entire western peninsula of Iceland with some friends. It was so fun! But by the time we reached Black Pearl Beach, I was tired, cold, and a liiiiittle bit annoyed that Mitch was set on walking all the way to the far end of the freezing beach. He took some pictures of our friends, then asked me to come pose for a few with him (and thankfully convinced me to take off the third parka I was wearing). He said this would be the most important picture we would take the whole trip, then got on one knee and proposed. Suddenly, I didn't mind the cold so much.
